Day 1

Travel to Delhi

Activities

  • Begin your trip in the capital of India, Delhi, and explore the bustling streets and markets of this sprawling metropolis. As you drive through Delhi, you’ll marvel at its cultural and historical centre of India’s past and future. Built slowly of 450 years of empires—first the Hindu and Muslim dynasties, followed by the powerful Mughal dynasty—the city is an intriguing mix of old and new, familiar and exotic… all of it fascinating! Check-in to the hotel and free to explore on your own. In the evening enjoy Delhi night life in Hauz Khas area. Overnight stay in Delhi

Day 2

Explore Delhi Breakfast at the hotel and proceed for a Half day combined city tour of Old & New Delhi.

  • NEW DELHI - Drive past the Presidential Palace, the Rashtrapati Bhavan and the secretariat buildings - the centre of all government activity and down the main avenue (This comes under Lutyen’s Delhi) .Visit the impressive Rajpath to the World War I memorial arch, the India Gate, the High Court Building and the Old Fort. Visit, Humayun’s Tomb built in 1565 AD, the monument has an architectural design similar to the Taj Mahal & the Judah Hyam Synagogueand. Later visit, Qutub Minar, 72 meters high and the ruins of Quwat-ul-Eslam Mosque. See Delhi’s most curious antique, the uncorroded Iron Pillar, which dates back to the 4th century. Finish the tour with a heritage walk in the ruins of Hauz Khas village & Deer Park. The madrasa and tomb of Sultan Firuz Shah Tughluq are unique among monuments in the city of Delhi. There are classrooms, living quarters, all remains from the 14th century, built along the edge of a lake, The Deer Park too has some massive buildings with incredible names like 'the dome in the garden of the world' & 'the gifted dome'. OLD DELHI - The 300-year-old walled city was built by Emperor Shah Jehan in 1648 as his capital and named after him. Drive past red fort, opposite the fort are the black and white onion dome and minarets of the Jama Masjid, the most elegant mosque in India. Set off on an exciting rickshaw ride through the Chandni Chowk bazaar. Drive past Kotla Firoze Shah, ruins of an old fort of the 14th century with the 13 metre high Ashoka Pillar of 3rd BC. Visit Raj Ghat, where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948. In the evening enjoy shopping in Connaught Place area or local market. Overnight stay in Delhi

Day 3

Travel to Agra (Approximately 4 Hrs by Surface) After breakfast transfer to Agra. Upon arrival in Agra meet our representative and transfer to Hotel.

  • Afternoon proceed for the visit to Taj Mahal . The story behind the Taj Mahal is the greatest love story ever told. On the death of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, in wild extravagance, Shahjahan built this memorial. 20,000 men labored for over 17 years to build this wealth of white marble and precious stone. NOTE: The Taj Mahal is closed on Friday. Later you will proceed for a visit to the Agra fort. The construction of the Agra Fort was begun by Emperor Akbar in 1565. Its massive walls stretch for 2½ km and are surrounded by a moat over 10 metres wide. Overnight stay in Agra

Day 4

Travel to Jaipur (Approximately 5 ½ Hrs by Surface) Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Jaipur, India’s famous ‘Pink City’ is so called because its walls were painted pink to honor visiting guests Prince Albert and Queen Victoria in the 1800’s. Jaipur remains a majestic city, steeped in history and vibrant with life. Opulent buildings and colorful bazaars…Cavorting camels and painted elephants…Few cities offer so much variety, excitement, and cultural immersion—not to mention comfort. Arrival in Jaipur and check in at your hotel.

Day 5

Explore Jaipur (Approximately 4 ½ Hrs by Surface) After breakfast drive to the ancient Rajput capital – The City of Amer. Ride up the fort on your Elephant & explore the various part of the fort . Later proceed for Half day sightseeing tour of The Pink City. Visit the Maharajas’s City Palace, Jantar Mantar Observatory and the Hawa Mahal Palace.
