DAY 01 AIRPORT / PINNAWALA / KANDY

Welcome to Sri Lanka! We Travelorphic has taken all steps to make sure your Holiday is safe, secure & Serene. Upon completing the airport formalities meet your chauffer at the airport arrival’s lounge. Board the vehicle and leave towards Kandy.

En-route visit the Pinnawala elephant orphanage and Spice & Herbal Garden.

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage
Currently being a home to 100elephants. Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage; just as the name suggests holds a unique disposition in the ex-situ animal care. It’s success and fame has travelled not just within the country but throughout the world to an extent where Pinnawala synonymous with the Sri Lankan Elephant.

Spice and Herbal Garden in Mawanella where you will be introduced to different spices and shown how some of these spices are grown and processed. A processing and training unit has been set up in the area and farmers are grouped in a cooperative to ensure fair prices and you will also be able to purchase spices.

Reach in Kandy. Check in at the hotel and rest of the day leisure.

DAY 02 KANDY

Morning Visit Royal Botanical Garden in Peradeniya.

Royal Botanical Garden
Once the playground of the royals, the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens are now open to the public, all 60 hectares of it. A short drive from the Kandy City. This magnificent garden will account for a well-spent morning or afternoon. Enjoy a sunlit walk down an avenue of majestic royal palms or experience the garden’s exquisite coterie of orchids.
Animal life is not absent either with monkeys chattering and fruit bats feasting – a truly Sri Lankan experience! Don’t forget to visit the immense and unforgettable Javan fig tree with its vast canopy of overhanging branches.

Kandy City Tour: Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Kandy which is a UNESCO world heritage site. The historic city about 480m above sea level surrounded by mountains was known to Sri Lankan as Kanda Uda Rata, which means the hill country. Kandy was home to Sri Lanka's last independent Kingdom, which survived two centuries of colonial incursion before finally falling to the British at the beginning of the nineteenth century.

Gem Museum & a Lapidary
The museum exhibits rare minerals in the world which are found in Sri Lanka, the museum also gives its visitors detailed knowledge in how Sri Lankan minerals and gems outshine the ones found around the world.

Kandy Temple of the Tooth
The stunning 17th-century Temple of the Tooth (Sri Dalada Maligawa) is believed to house the left upper canine tooth of the Lord Buddha himself. This precious relic attracts white-clad pilgrims, bearing lotus blossoms and frangipani, every day.

After visiting the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic you will be introduced to a Kandyan Cultural show at the Kandyan Arts & Cultural Centre. The show features the graceful and rhythmic dancers and drummers culminating in an impressive fire walking display.

DAY 03 KANDY / NUWARAELIYA

Breakfast at the hotel and proceed to Nuwara Eliya.

En route visit to a Tea factory & Tea Garden & visit Shri Bhakta Hanuman Temple.

Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple is one of the important Hanuman Temples in Sri Lanka located on summit of the very beautiful picturesque mountain in Ramboda 30 KM north to Nuwara Eliya, the gateway to the tea country hill station of Sri Lanka.

Reach Nuwara Eliya, the beautiful town, set in the heart of Tea country and situated 1890 meters above sea level, is where the British succeeded in creating an English countryside with homes in styles from Georgian to Queen Anne. Continue your journey towards Nuwara Eliya. Enjoy a visit to Gregory Lake.

DAY 04 NUWARAELIYA/ BEACH

Travel towards Bentota for the short beach stay.

DAY 05 BEACH

Spend the days at leisure.

During your stay, visit a Turtle Hatchery in Kosgoda. Enjoy a River Boat safari at the Madu River. If interested water sports in Bentota.

Turtle Hatchery Where you can see five species of turtles-Green Turtles (Chelonia mydas), Hawksbill Turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata), Loggerhead Turtle (Caretta caretta), Leatherback Turtle (Dermochelys coriacea) and Olive Ridley Turtle (Lepidochelys olivacea).
The eggs collected by the Villagers and Fishermen are purchased by the Kosgoda Hatchery and kept in sandy pens until they are hatched. The newly hatched ones are kept in seawater tanks and released to the sea in the night. This Hatchery alone has released more than 1,750,000 young turtles to the sea. An endowment by the Hasselblad Estate was responsible for the establishment of this hatchery

Madu River Between Ambalangoda and Iduruwa, Madu Ganga dances around the coastline forming a complicated network of lagoons and off-shoots. It’s fantastic birding territory and in praise of this it’s been made into a Ramsar site.

DAY 06 BEACH /COLOMBO

Leave to Colombo and enjoy a city tour.

Colombo, which is the largest city and former administrative capital of Sri Lanka and is a busy and vibrant city with a mixture of modern life and remnants of a bygone colonial era. Due to its large harbor and its strategic position along the East-West sea trade routes, Colombo was known to ancient traders 2,000 years ago. However, it was only made the Capital of the island when Sri Lanka was ceded to the British Empire in 1815.
The main city is home to a majority of the Sri Lanka’s corporate offices, restaurants and entertainment venues. On this tour you will visit many of the historical, religious and commercial sites of Colombo including the historic and the elite residential Cinnamon Gardens, the Galle face Green, Viharamahadevi Park and much more
