DAY 01 AIRPORT / PINNAWALA /KANDY

Reach Colombo airport. Clear Immigrations, Baggage claim and Customs. Your Local guide will be waiting for you are the airport arrival lounge.

Leave Pinnawala, and visit The Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage or Millenium Elephant Foundation.

Pinnawala: Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage (PEO) is an orphanage, nursery and breeding ground for nearly 100 elephants. It was founded in 1975 by the Sri Lanka Department of Wildlife Conservation to care for and protect the orphaned young elephants that were often found wandering around the forests of Sri Lanka. What began with five
baby elephants grew into a program that now cares for a herd of more than 90 elephants.

Millennium Elephant Foundation: Spanning a 15-acre estate that is located around 10 kilometres to the northwest of the town of Kegalle, the Millennium Elephant Foundation (MEF) is a charity that rescues and subsequently cares for captive Asian elephants in Sri Lanka. Observe, bathe and ride the elephants.

Preceed to Kandy via Matale visiting a Herbal Spice Garden.

Herbal Spice Garden: fascinating insight into Sri Lankan history, botany, and gastronomy. The fragrant gardens are home to an exotic collection of trees, bushes, and flowers, all of which lend their flavors and spices to the diverse melting pot of Sri Lanka's cuisine. Follow your guide as they lead you through aromatic cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, mace, chocolate, vanilla, and pepper. At the end, you can even buy some of your favorite spices to bring a little bit of Sri Lanka home with you.

DAY 02 KANDY

Nature Walk at Udawatta Kale: Also known as the Royal Forest Park extends about 257 acres. The forest is rich with vegetation consisting with canopy, sub canopy and an underground layer. The dense plant life restricts sunlight reaching the ground soil surface. The underground layer mostly consists of the seedlings of the canopy layer species and creepers that reaches to the top of canopy layer trees. There is a giant 200 to 300 years old Pus Wela or 'Entada pusaetha' liana in the forest. The important places in Udawatta Kele are the water Pond, Highest peak The Senkanda Cave, and the Garrison cemetery. There are also several Buddhist temples and hermitages inside the forest reserve.

Visit Temple of the sacred Tooth Relic: The royal palace complex of the ancient Kingdom of Kandy, now the Sri Dalada Maligawa (or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic) is a Buddhist temple that is home to the tooth relic of Lord Buddha. The city of Kandy was the last great capital of Sri Lanka’s ancient kings, and the presence of the temple is a major reason that the city was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The relic that lies within the temple has played a major role in Sri Lanka’s political history, as it was believed that the holder of the relic possessed the right to govern the country.

Visit Gem Museum & Gem Gallery: Throughout history, Sri Lanka has been known as a land of gems. At the Gem Museum, you will have a chance to learn about Gems and how it’s being mined, cut polished given shapes. The relic that lies within the temple has played a major role in Sri Lanka’s political history, as it was believed that the holder of the relic possessed the right to govern the country.

Witness Traditional Dance Show: Kandyan-style dancing is among the most distinctive features associated with the culture. It is an age-old traditional art form that can be a treat to watch when performed. A stimulating evening of dance and music. It is a show that celebrates the traditional arts established long ago during the heyday of the Kandyan Kingdom.

Visit Kandy Viewpoint. Thereafter rest of the day you can visit Kandy City Center for shopping if interested.

DAY 03 KANDY / AMBULUWAWA / RAMBODA / NUWARA ELIYA

Breakfast at the hotel. Leave to visit Ambuluwawa Temple.

Ambuluwawa Tower: 3567 meters above sea level and there are 200 plants which belong to 80 species. We know the climb to the top is a bit tough but then again you know the hardest climbs always give the best views. Some of the best views you can admire from this tower is, from South Sri Pada or Adams Peak, North Mountain range of Knuckles, West Bathalegala or Bible Rock, East Piduruthalagala.

Proceed to Nuwaraeliya via Ramboda.

Witness Ramboda Waterfalls: It is 109 meters high and is the 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka. It is the 729th highest waterfall in the world. This is also known as “Puna Ella”. It is formed by a tributary on the Kotmale River, namely Panna Oya. Ramboda Falls is situated at an altitude of 945 m above sea level.

Visit Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple: It’s said to be a pond - the ‘Sita Tear Pond' – was here, which was formed from Sita's tears. The temple itself is one of the more enterprising establishments devoted to this legend and contains a granite statue of Lord Hanuman that is said to be over 40 feet tall. It is believed that Lord Hanuman was searching
for Sitadevi from these hills of Ramboda. The Ramboda area is believed to be an area where Rama's forces were gathered against Ravana. Ram Padai means Rama's Force. The hills of Ramboda are also believed where Hanuman was searching for Sitadevi.

Visit Colonial Tea Factory: Nuwara Eliya teas are much more delicate and are some of the finest teas in the country. Visit a Tea Factory and enjoy the tour and learn about the process of plucking, processing and packaging tea leaves.

Visit Seeta Amman Kovil “A Temple for Lord Rama, Sita Devi, Lakshmana, and Hanuman. There is a stream by the side of the temple where Sitadevi is said to have bathed. It is interesting to note that footprints akin to Lord Hanuman’s are found by this river, some of which are of small size and some large size. This demonstrates the immense power of Hanuman who was able to transform himself to any size.

Visit Gregory Lake: Lake Gregory sometimes also called Gregory Lake or Gregory Reservoir, is a reservoir in the heart of the tea country hill city of Nuwara Eliya in Sri Lanka. Lake Gregory was created during the period of British Governor Sir William Gregory in 1873. The lake and the surrounding area make up the Gregory Lake Area.

DAY 04 NUWARA ELIYA / ELLA / YALA/TISSAMAHARAMA

Breakfast at the hotel. Checkout and leave towards Yala.

En route visit the Nine arch bridge in Ella.

Nine Arch Bridge: Commissioned under the British in the year 1921, the Nine Arch Bridge stands proudly, a testament to the engineering and architectural brilliance of the early 20th century. Ideally placed between the Ella and Demodara railway station, those choosing to walk along the bridge will be presented with scenes of rolling hills and dense jungle to delight in.

Reach Yala and afternoon jeep safari at the Yala National Park.

Yala National Park: Easily considered to be one of the more iconic parks in the island, the Yala National Park is the second-largest wildlife park in Sri Lanka and is known for its unique flora and fauna that complements in the sustaining of the island’s unique biodiversity. The park is home to some of the rarest species of animals in the
world, however, two mammals take the top spot. Such animals are the Sri Lankan Leopard and the Sloth Bear. On completion check into the hotel.

DAY 05 YALA / GALLE / BEACH

DAY 06 BENTOTA

Lunugaga Garden Tour: The Lunuganga Estate was the country home of famous Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa. It began as a cinnamon estate during Sri Lanka’s time under the Dutch, before becoming a rubber plantation while under British rule. He named the estate Lunuganga (meaning “Salt River” in the Sinhalese language), and he
meticulously planned and experimented with the design of the spaces within the Estate during his lifetime; a journey that took place over a period of 50 years.

Visit a Turtle Hatchery: Turtle Care programs aim to protect sea turtle eggs and increase hatching rates. These Turtle Care centers not only do hatch, but also treat disabled Turtles and treat the weak ones. Except a study tour of Turtles during your visit to the Turtle Hatchery. Enjoy a Madu River Boat Safari: Explore the Bentota Mangrove and its diverse wildlife on a river cruise.
